Sarah E is a 36 foot Baltzer Voyageur (beam 11′ and draft 3.4 ft) single engine cruiser built in 1950 by Baltzer Shipyards in Newburyport, MA. Built with Norwegian White Pine planking and a Honduras Mahogany transom. She was completely restored in 2000-2003, and also under went a full refresh in 2014 by A & D Woodcraft. She was outfitted with new electronics and re-powered. There is a two burner propane stove with remote auto shutoff. Ice box is lined with stainless steel and has two access points. Toilet is manual with a 26 gallon holding tank.
Sarah E. is powered by a single Crusader 5.7 V8 that puts out 320HP. The engine is fresh water cooled and has only 462 hours. Cruising at 12 knots she will sip around 5 gallons an hour. She has a 125 gallon aluminum fuel tank. Electric is 12 volt and 115 volt shore power.

- The sides of the cabin were refaced with Honduras Mahogany
- All the bronze screws on the bottom of the boat were removed and replaced
- Many new keel bolts and section of aft keel
- New four blade propeller was matched for the new fuel injected 350 crusader gas engine
- All tanks, hoses, and pumps were replaced
- New helm station and new wiring
- Cabin sole was replaced with new hatches
- All varnish was stripped and refinished
- New SS anchor roller and bow pulpit were installed
- New galley counter sink and faucet
- New 60 amp electrical panel and wiring
- New Wilcox crittenden skipper head
- New Hydraulic steering, Autopilot, GPS, and Radar
- In 2003 Sarah E. won the Best Cruising Boat Award at Mystic Seaport Antique Boat Show
- Over $150,000 was spent on restoring this classic
